Hay múltiples técnicas de llevar la imagen al papel. Una de estas es el papel salado. Es sencillo y es lo que hicieron los primeros fotógrafos. Lo que me apasiona es que es UNO el que hace todo el proceso, a mano, como los antiguos. Se da al papel un baño de sal. Una vez seco se emulsiona con nitrato de plata. Se pone el negativo encima y al sol! Y se produce la magia. Aparece la imagen. Luego se fija con un par de químicos más para que esa imagen no se desvanezca. Es fascinante el proceso! Aprendí leyendo, buscando en internet, mi amiga Isabel Fernández, gran artista también me dio sus tips. Uno no termina de aprender y descubrir. Los resultados son inesperados y eso lo hace aún más fascinante. Hice mi libro MUJERES con esta técnica en el Taller Libro Fotoquímico impartido por Isabel Fernández y Cata de la Cruz. There are many different techniques to transfer images to paper. One is the salt paper process. It is very simple and it´s what first photographers did. What fascinates me is that it is oneself that do the whole process. You give the paper a salt bath. Dry it. Add silver nitrate, put the negative on top, expose it in the sun and the image appears! It´s magic. Then some fixing and done. I love the process. I learned reading, internet, and also my artist friend Isabel Fernández taught me her tips. You One never stops learning and discovering. The results are unexpected which makes it even more fascinating. My book MUJERES (women) was made with this technique in a workshop given by Cata de la Cruz and Isabel Fernández.
